John Michael Bailey
Serving throughout Tennessee and Mississippi
A Memphis, Tennessee native, John Michael Bailey attended Overton High School and went on to earn a degree in American history at the University of Memphis. He graduated from Memphis School of Law with his Juris Doctorate in 1979, becoming a licensed attorney at age 24.
Following law school, Mr. Bailey practiced for 15 years as a criminal defense attorney. He then transitioned to the area of law he continues to practice today-personal injury, which allows him to help people in need and make differences in their lives. Recently, Mr. Bailey took and passed the bar exam for Mississippi, allowing him to help even more people than before.
Welcoming a son with his wife in October 2006, Mr. Bailey is invested in his community outside of his legal practice. Participating in charity cookouts and festivals, often putting his famous grilling skills to work for the greater good, is commonplace for him. Other charitable acts include the sponsorship of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the softball team Southern Chicks from Southaven, Mississppi. He also sponsors an adoption of Overton High School, his alma mater, and Colonial Middle School. Through the school adoption, Mr. Bailey provides a $1,000 John Michael Bailey Scholarship to a graduating high school senior.
